Soul diva Hollie Smith launched her latest album Humour and the Misfortune of Others at a private Grey Lynn soiree on Monday.
In Kiwi style a few close but famous friends, including Oliver Driver, Helena McAlpine and Carly Flynn, celebrated the stunning new releases with a relaxed barbecue and bevies.
Hollie entertained guests with tracks from her five star album, giving them a taste of the musical flair that is wowing music critics both in New Zealand and abroad.
Proving pain and adversity can bring out the best in creative people, Hollie’s recent hardships have injected inspiration into her music.
Hollie goes on the road next month, starting her tour in Timaru on Wednesday April 7, and visiting Dunedin and Christchurch before playing at Sale Street in Auckland on Wednesday April 14.
Then she makes her way to Wellington and Napier
