Tuesday night was humming with fashionistas lining up to catch a glimpse of the latest looks at the inaugural NZ Fashion Festival.
An absolute sell-out crowd, hot designers and funky music transformed Shed 12 in Wellesley Street into a hot-spot that would beat quiz night at the pub hands down.
Previously named Auckland Autumn Fashion Festival, this rebranded event will be a must-do on the annual calendar of every serious follower of fashion. Hats off to Pieter and Myken Stewart who organised a stellar night out for the girls, and a few guys.
Pitched at the masses rather than fashion industry designers, the crowd relished the opportunity to delve into goodie bags, while checking out the latest looks on the runway. What’s more, everything is on the racks in leading stores right now.
Designers included: Adrian Hailwood - Andrea Moore - Annah Stretton - Barkers - Cybele - Helen Cherry/Workshop - Ed Hardy - Huffer - Juliette Hogan - Kate Sylvester - Moochi - Paula Ryan - Stolen Girlfriends - The Carpenters Daughter - Trelise Cooper – Zambesi
