Brazilian born supermodel Gisele Bundchen is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world. In 2007, she was dubbed by GQ as 'the world's reining symbol of female perfection'. One of five sisters, Bundchen is of German descent and fluently speaks three languages.

Teased at school for her skinny frame, Bundchen was discovered by a model scout at the age of 13 whilst eating McDonalds in a Sao Paulo shopping mall. In classic rags to riches style she left her small Brazilian hometown for New York, where she caught the eye of legendary photographer Mario Testino who called her 'mesmerizing'.

Her deep golden tan and spectacular Amazonian curves are credited for ending the 'heroin-chic' look that dominated modeling in the 90s, spearheaded by waifs including Kate Moss. Vogue promptly put her on their cover, declaring that she had single-handedly responsible for a renaissance of the healthy, vibrant look popularised by models like Christie Brinkley and Cindy Crawford in the 80s. In 2007, the former Victoria's Secret model was named the word's highest paid model.

The beauty famously dated Leonardo Dicaprio; they split in 2005 after a tumultuous six year relationship. In 2006, Bundchen shacked up with football player Tom Brady, with whom she now has a son, Benjamin. Bundchen has a fraternal twin, Patricia, who is also her manager.
