WINTER WONDER LAND.
"Queenstown is breathtaking". That is the thought I had as I slammed into the fence at top of the novice slope on Coronet Peak. The instructors voice screaming behind me.. STOP STOP!! Well I had no idea how to for a start. I was supposed to come off the magic carpet and wait at the top of the slope for the rest of the beginners I was with. It didn't quite work out that way.
As I got off I turned right towards the decent and before I knew it, I was on my way back down. Not in a straight line but heading left towards the fence and oblivion. I hit the fence like a fly hits a web, with my ski's
sticking out the bottom and my face planted on the wire, but what a view.
An Aussie girl asked me later , "What were you thinking when you were heading towards the fence", I said, "I was laughing to much too much to think about it". The rest of the day was just as much fun, with my girls looking like they had been on the slopes half their lives.
So guess where will be going this school holidays? Snow Planet. It won't have that view though and that's what makes Queenstown so breathtaking.
Have a great week. I hope you have been buying your tickets for the Highlife AList Social on the 10th July at The Wharf, it's going to be an amazing night and it would be great to meet you all who receive this newsletter in person. Go to www.iticket.co.nz and get your tickets, they are selling fast.
Have a great week
Cheers
