I LOVE RED CARPETS.
Red Carpet events always get me excited. It's one of those seldom seen events in NZ that seem to happen only maybe twice a year. Maybe three times if there is a movie premiere of any worth. It's a time for celebrities to glam up and walk the carpet and face the barrage of camera flashes. It's always interesting to see who wears which designer, and its beneficial for the designers to be seen on well known faces, so it's a win win. The biggest faux pas is when two celebrities wear the same outfit from the same designer. That happened at the VNZMA. Thing is, they both looked good, so no harm done. Just don't photograph them together.
One of the funniest thing I saw shooting a Red Carpet in Auckland was a couple of years ago at the Civic. Everyone was making their way down the carpet and were posing at the huge photo wall that had been erected just at the entrance to the Civic. All the TV stars where there, and there was a couple of good looking, well known girls from a popular soap, based in a hospital...say no more. Anyway they came down the carpet and posed against the wall and made their way into the Civic. They then snuck out through the side door, somehow got to the back of the line of guests and made their way back down to be shot once again against the photo wall. Talk about over exposure, ha ha, all good fun.
Heaps of pics to see from Music Awards and Melbourne Cup, so lots to see.
A friend of mine is looking to hire someone, the brief is this. Do you rate yourself? Can you hold your own in a busy vibrant new bar ? Then send your bio to aucklandsfinest1@gmail.com
Sounds interesting.
Have a great week
