Norrie's Week

We're back...

First of all, I want to wish all my readers a happy and successful New Year for 2012, the year of the dragon. Sounds like a Bruce Lee movie, correction, that was Enter the Dragon. Well, it was a classic movie and hopefully this will be a classic New Year for you all.

ALMOST RARO TIME..

This time next week I will be deciding either to have another snorkel over the reef just a stone throw from the beach or have a cold beer. I can picture it now, swaying palms, hot sun on my back, a bead of sweat on my brow. Decisions, decisions, life can be hard when you are on holiday.

WHAT DOES SANTA WANT FOR XMAS?

I know exactly know what he wants, he told me the other night. I was at SkyCity where they were going to throw the switch to light up their Xmas lights, all 30,000 of them. Paul Henry was in charge of this most important task, and there were many other well known faces in attendance. Sport stars from The Breakers, The Warriors, and The Blues were also there. Steve Price also popped in.

FREEFALLING.

This is the time of year you feel the days go whizzing past at a rapid rate of knots. There are just so many days left in this year and they all seem to have something attached to them in my diary. Fashion shows, calendar shoots, weddings, events, parties, thay all have a place in my calendar.

AUT ROOKIE SHOW.

The stand out for me this week was the AUT Rookie show. The fashion that was on display was pretty impressive, and the future of talented fashion designers in NZ is looking real good. Check out the colour in their clothes , its like a breath of fresh air. Watch out for these names in the future, some will be house hold names in the next 10 years.

I LOVE RED CARPETS.

Red Carpet events always get me excited. It's one of those seldom seen events in NZ that seem to happen only maybe twice a year. Maybe three times if there is a movie premiere of any worth. It's a time for celebrities to glam up and walk the carpet and face the barrage of camera flashes.

PHOTO FINISH.

What a great finish to the Big Race that stops a nation yesterday, I hope you picked the winner and didn't let the weather spoil your day. There were parties everywhere, I was kept busy between Foodstore, Soul and Euro.

7th JANUARY 2012

Lock that date in your diary now, more will be revealed soon.

I hope you have all recovered from the amazing high that Auckland and NZ has been experiencing over the past 6 weeks, and I don't mean the weather. Of course, I am talking about the Rugby World Cup.

THE FINALS.

CELEBRITY.

In the past 14 days I have felt what its like to be on the other side of the camera for once. I have done an interview for television about celebrity, and this week I will feature in a photo shoot for a very high profile magazine. Added to that I have just been featured in Ponsonby news, which is one of my favourite publications. So the profile has certainly had a bit of a boost lately.
