Tiger Woods hires George W. Bush's former spin doctor to repair image
Tiger Woods has reportedly hired George W. Bush's former spin doctor to help repair his shattered public image, ahead of his big return to golf.
The shamed PGA champion has taken on the former US president's press secretary Ari Fleischer to help plot his much-anticipated comeback.
Serial cheater Woods, 34, has been using the high-profile sports image consultant in regular strategy sessions at his Florida home, with one meeting taking place earlier this week.
Tiger's all-important return to the game will reportedly take place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, starting March 25 at Bay Hill, in Orlando.
Fleischer has famously transitioned into a high-profile sports image consultant and has worked with icons such as Mark McGwire and the Green Bay Packers.
Two sources in the golf community said: "They were in his living room this week going over a strategy for how to handle Bay Hill in two weeks."
The other source added: "I would be shocked if he didn't play the Arnold Palmer."
Palmer himself has reportedly told close confidants that Woods is definitely playing at Bay Hill. And those running the tournament are said to be preparing for a larger-than-usual media crush.
