Simon Cowell stars in The Simpsons season finale

Simon Cowell gets Simpsonised in a new episode of the hit US cartoon, according to reports.

The music mogul has reportedly been given a starring role in the season finale, along with his fellow American Idol judges and host Ryan Seacrest.

Wearing his trademark blue jeans and black T-shirt, Cowell’s cartoon character poses with Kara DioGuardi, Seacrest, Ellen DeGeneres and Randy Jackson.

But even if the Idol clan look a little different, they will sound exactly the same – the TV stars have all lent their voices to the special episode.

The Simpsons season finale, Judge Me Tender, is the 21st season finale of the US cartoon series.

It is based around Moe, who discovers a talent for judging contests and is invited to appear on American Idol alongside the regular judges.
