Robert Pattinson 'not involved in car accident'

Reports that Robert Pattinson was involved in a car accident on Saturday have been rubbished by the Twilight star's rep.

The 24-year-old actor was said to have bumped into a parked car as he left a friend's Malibu home.

Rob Gottschlich, the owner of the vehicle told OK, "If I had a nice car like a Lexus or something, maybe I'd be concerned. But I've got an old Kia. I am going to ask Rob next time I see him for free tickets to the next Twilight film."

The incident was not reported to the local police. Pattinson's spokesperson said the star does not recall any kind of crash.
