Poppycock storms into Americas Got Talent final
Outrageous singer Prince Poppycock has stormed into the final of America’s Got Talent.
The bizarre performer - dubbed the male version of Lady GaGa by judge Sharon Osbourne - on Wednesday night became one of five acts to win a place in the top 10.
On the previous night’s semi-final, Poppycock - the alter-ego of Los Angeles singer John Quale - stole the show with a stunning version of Queen's famed hit Bohemian Rhapsody.
Afterwards, a thrilled Osbourne had told him: “You are the male Lady Gaga. You are a superstar. I bow down to you.”
All three judges, including Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel, were up on their feet when host Nick Cannon announced the all-important results.
Holding back the tears, Poppycock then told the audience: “I’m just so grateful to be here and so grateful for America for opening up their hearts to me.”
Also getting a shot at the talent show crown were singers Taylor Mathews and Michael Grimm, young ballroom dancers Anna and Patryk, and sisters Christina and Ali, who have cystic fibrosis.
