Noel Gallagher: 'Simon Cowell didn't want me on the X Factor'

Noel Gallagher has rubbished reports that his refusal to do the X Factor had anything to do with money.
The 44-year-old former Oasis star said that he actually turned down Simon Cowell’s offer because he didn’t believe that he was the right choice – much to his daughter Anais’ disappointment.
“Money was never mentioned. I told him he didn't really want me on there,” he explained.
“He insisted he did. I insisted harder that he didn't and he gave up asking. My 11-year-old daughter has never forgiven me.”
The rocker, who has now gone solo, admitted that he has employed the services of a personal trainer.
“His name is Tuff Levi. He invented the ‘reggae, reggae work-out’. The world will witness the fitness on the tour come October 23,” he said.
But speaking of the tour, he confessed that he has mixed feelings about doing it alone.
“I am looking forward to it because my record is great and I think people will like it. And I have an obligation to play the songs live.
“I'm not because I have to learn how to be a front man.”
