Mitch Winehouse forced to return donations to Amy Winehouse Foundation

Mitch Winehouse has been forced to return fans' donations made to the foundation set up to honour Amy Winehouse as he does not own the rights or have a bank account in the name of 'The Amy Winehouse Foundation'.

The late Back to Black singer's father took to his Twitter page to reveal that he was having to return cheques the foundation received as his solicitors worked on resolving the situation.

?He said: "We all have to bombard the tabloid's websites to put pressure on this d******* who stole our foundation name.

"Instead of concentrating on allocating funding I am having to send cheques back cos we haven't got bank ac in that name. Mitch."

He added: "This person was offering to sell name on website. We have got this withdrawn."

Mitch also said the person had tried to contact Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil to try and set up the foundation.

He wrote: "Blake? Can you imagine?"

?Mitch revealed last week that another person had 'pinched' the name of the 'Amy Winehouse Foundation' before he had been able to register it, which had meant he has had to hold off his plans.
