Milla Jovovich: 'I want that chick out of the movie!'

Resident Evil: Afterlife star Milla Jovovich has told how she ordered her husband, the movie's director, to scrap a female character he had written for the movie.

Milla, wearing a black Goth-style dress, said she told her husband Paul W.S. Anderson that she wanted to be the main star of the new 3-D movie.

TV host Jimmy Kimmel asked the 34-year-old actress, "Your husband is the director of this movie yes?

"That means you have complete control over it, yes? He can't tell you what to do."

She replied, "Up to a point! There are a couple of things I have my say in. He wrote an extra character into the script to give me a friend.

"I was like, 'Who is this chick? I want her out of the movie! He got her out."
