Miley Cyrus forced to endure a bumpy ride Down Under

Miley Cyrus had to charter an old-fashioned twin-engine propeller aeroplane in Australia so she could fly under the Chilean volcanic ash cloud and continue her tour.

The star, her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and mother Tish had to catch the white 15-seater from Brisbane to Melbourne today for a two-hour bumpy journey.

Miley has just kicked off her Gypsy Heart tour Down Under and is due to play Melbourne on Thursday night.

The ash cloud has caused mayhem with Aussie domestic flights, with scores of scheduled departures being cancelled leaving thousands of passengers stranded.

When she arrived in Melbourne, Miley’s plane taxied into a private hangar at the city's Essendon Airport.

From there, she was driven away in a fleet of chauffeur-driven cars into the city.
