Mel Gibson's image 'cooked', say celeb management experts

Top celebrity crisis management experts believe Mel Gibson's goose is cooked.

Celebrities can be forgiven for infidelity and drug-related falls from grace, according to Matthew Traub of Dan Klores Communications.

The bigotry charge that haunts Gibson following an alleged anti-Semitic rant when he was arrested for alleged driving under the influence is another matter, says Traub. "I think that drunk-driving tirade confirmed a lot of people's suspicions about the kind of person Mel Gibson is," he told Fox News.

Top publicist Michael Levine said: "I think he's done. He'll work, he'll exist, but I think he's seared his obit for life."

Levine's agency has represented Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson. Gibson, meanwhile, recently said: "It's 30 years ago that I lost my own personal anonymity. And it's 30 years ago that the public humiliation began. And sometimes it reaches a global level. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And I'm telling you right now, I'm one strong motherf----- because I'm right back at you."
