Mary McCormack 'thrilled' pregnancy is written into TV show

Actress Mary McCormack is "thrilled" her pregnancy is to be written into her TV show.

The former West Wing star is due to give birth to her third child with British producer Michael Morris in September.

And she is happy her pregnancy is being written into the script of In Plain Sight.

"When you see women on TV playing pregnant and their arms are ripped, they're still actress skinny with just a fake pregnancy pad," she told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

"I'm not going that way - I'm like Marlon Brando. I'm De Niro - really going for it physically. But I think it's refreshing, let's see it - this is what knocked up looks like."

However, she says not everyone has given her an easy ride with her changing body - specifically daughter Rose, three.

McCormack added: "I was recently trying on clothes in my bedroom and she said, 'That, my friend, is too small for you'.
