Marc Anthony opens up about marriage to J.Lo

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony has revealed that he would “get yelled at” when he was running late.

The 42-year-old Latin star made his comments in an interview in the September issue of O, The Oprah Magazine – just a month before he split from his singer-actress wife.

The now estranged couple were interviewed by the US magazine about their respective collections for Kohl’s clothing line and were said to be openly affectionate to one another during the photo-shoot.

And Anthony even revealed why he thought their marriage and business partnership worked so well.

“My mum always told me 95 per cent of success was partnering well,” he tells the magazine.

He adds: “You know, we’re like anyone. We go to meetings during the day, then we like to come home and watch a movie with the kids. And I get yelled at when I’m running late. All normal stuff.”

But in an interview with Vanity Fair, Lopez opened up about the split from Anthony who is the father of her three-year-old twins, Emme and Max, and painted a different picture of their relationship, saying: “Sometimes we don’t realise that we are compromising ourselves.

“To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself. If I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”

But, she does admit there were positive aspects to their professional relationship.

She said: “I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic – and we did.”
