Lily Allen: 'I'm no Lara Stone or Kate Moss'

Singer Lily Allen was "very aware" that she does not look like models Lara Stone or Kate Moss when she shot Karl Lagerfeld's Autumn Winter campaign in 2009.

The 25-year-old told Elle UK magazine: "When Karl called me about the campaign, I didn't tell anyone because I was convinced they had made some huge mistake and that it wouldn't happen."

It did happen and Lily applied the same self-deprecating attitude when it came to talking about the photo shoot.

She added: "I'm not a model so a Chanel shoot is an intimidating process because I'm very aware that I don't look like Lara [Stone] or Kate [Moss].

"I sat there feeling like a suet dumpling."

Lily's new new vintage rental shop Lucy in Disguise opens on King Street, London, on 16 September.
