Liam Hemsworth in talks for Arabian Nights

Liam Hemsworth is in talks to play a young commander in Arabian Nights, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Australian Hemsworth and his girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, will soon appear in Disney's The Last Song. Hemsworth with Arabian Nights would enter 3-D action movie territory, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Chris, who has taken the lead role in Thor.

Chuck Russell directs the Nights adventure, which will be a period epic about a young commander who teams up with Sinbad and Aladdin to rescue Queen Scheherazade. The THR reports the interest in Hemsworth comes on the back of strong buzz for The Last Song.
