Lady Gaga's grand piano up for grabs
Lady Gaga is selling off her piano at a charity auction.
The one-of-a-kind Steinway Grand Piano is even signed by Gaga herself.
The 25-year-old pop star last played the instrument on May 9, 2011 when she performed Born This Way, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Judas, and Nat King Cole’s Orange Colored Sky, at the Robinhood Foundation Gala, in New York City.
Wearing a yellow and black bumblebee type ensemble, Gaga sprawled across the piano and danced to Americano before signing the beautiful piece for the charity auction.
The estimated value for the piano is $60,000. Proceeds will benefit Ten O’Clock Classics, an organisation that provides classical music venues for aspiring classical artists as well as education and inspiration for children to pursue careers in classical music.
The charity is evidently close to the Poker Face singer’s heart – Gaga is a classically trained pianist and she recently told MTV that her piano lessons were the source of her success:
“I was really, really good at piano so I my first instincts were to practice so hard at piano,” she said.
She added she was always self-assured in her musical abilities but dancing took more effort:
“I might not be a natural dancer but I am a natural musician, that is the thing I feel I am the greatest at.”
