Diet queen Kirstie Alley keeps lemurs at her Hollywood home.
Alley, 59, showed Entertainment Tonight her lemurs and their full-size cages in the lush garden of her gorgeous home. Stroking the sleek primates, which originate in Madagascar and require caretakers at a cost of $50,000 per year, Alley revealed she had provided for them in her will. "These guys live 40 years – they are in my will. They are totally in my will because, you know, who would take care of them?" she said wryly.
Alley, who roller-coasted back to the doldrums when she regained the weight she lost in an Oprah challenge, is in the midst of an amazing comeback. Her new show Kirstie Alley’s Big Life is described as a "docu-series that chronicles the many aspects of her extraordinary life, from her battle with weight loss to her role as a single mother trying to raise two normal teenagers".
Alley has just launched a microblogging food site among a slew of new ventures. Her new show
