Kim Kardashian and fellow reality stars banned from Hollywood Walk Of Fame

They may be as famous as some of Tinseltown’s A-listers – but the likes of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton have been told they can forget about being honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

A spokesperson for the popular pavement honours said reality stars will not be joining the likes of Frank Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin with their own five-pointed tributes.

In a recent posting on the official Facebook page for the Walk Of Fame, vice-president for media relations and producer for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Ana Martinez, wrote: "Someone asked us if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!”

Despite serving as an important tourist attraction for the Hollywood area, Martinez, said they would not give in to the increasing popularity and financial clout of reality personalities.

She told CNN.com that adding reality stars to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame is “just not on our radar at the moment”.

The Hollywood Walk Of Fame, which honours achievement in the entertainment industry, consists of more than 2,400 five-pointed brass stars embedded in the pavements along 15 blocks in the famous Los Angeles district.
