Katy Perry denies slamming Miley Cyrus' new look

Katy Perry has taken to Twitter to dismiss claims that she slammed Miley Cyrus for her raunchy new look.

The California Gurls singer hit back at reports which surfaced last week claiming Perry had compared Cyrus to Britney Spears.

Perry, who is engaged to British actor and comedian Russell Brand, was said to have made scathing remarks about her fellow popstar after seeing her provocative new style at Canada's Much Music Video Awards.

But she took to her Twitter page to deny the accusations.

She Tweeted: "Rumour control: I never said s*** bout my girl Miley. I love that ho (sic).
