Katy Perry: 'Celebrities shouldnt Google themselves'

Katy Perry believes that all celebrities search online for stories about themselves.

"Any artist who says they don't Google their name is a big fat liar," she said.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the singer told of trawling the web and finding comments she allegedly made about Miley Cyrus.

She took to Twitter to make things right, posting, "I never said shit bout my girl Miley. I love that ho."

"It's a little gross," the 25-year-old admitted.

"I'm sure no one knew or cared about that line about Miley. When you look at other celebrities' Twitter feeds and see them posting about something they read about themselves on a Google Alert, it's like, 'Uh, maybe you should stop Googling yourself every day, the world does not spin around you.'"

Perry is engaged to British comedian Russell Brand.
