Katy Perry and Russell Brand 'inseparable at VMAs'

Katy Perry and Russell Brand were spotted looking more loved-up than ever at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
The couple, who tied the knot last October, have been forced to spend large chunks of time apart this year thanks to Katy's world tour and Russell's film career.
But sitting side-by-side at the VMAs – where Perry picked up her first two Moonmen trophies for Video of the Year (Firework) and Best Collaboration (E.T with Kanye West) – they looked happy to be together.
"Russell and Katy were by each other's side all night," an eyewitness told Us Weekly. "[They] had their arms linked and their hands intertwined. They seemed really happy and were just smiling and beaming at each other.
"They were whispering in each other's ears and giggling - it looked like they had private jokes to share."
Brand looked 'genuinely touched, almost tearful' when his Katy, 26, won her first award, while she said she was just as proud of his moving tribute to Amy Winehouse.
"Not only was he providing the beautiful colour palette that Amy was, but also providing a realistic point of view and giving hope to anybody out there that felt like they needed hope," the singer told reporters backstage. "I thought it was really well-rounded and smart, and that's why I married him. He is smart and I learn a lot."
