Justin Bieber donates over $30,000 to Tennessee flood-recovery efforts

Teen heart-throb Justin Bieber has donated more than $30,000 to the Tennessee flood-relief efforts, according to reports.

The 16-year-old donated $1.06 from each ticket sold at his sell-out concert yesterday at Tennessee's Bridgestone Arena to aid flood recovery in the Nashville area.

Bieber presented a cheque for $32,690 to the non-profit organisation Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

And he later posted a message on his Twitter page to tell fans about his good deed and to thank local radio station i106 for partnering up with him.

He tweeted: "Shoutout to i106 [www.i106hits.com] for teaming up with me for a great cause today… We gave $1.06 per ticket sold tonight to flood relief needed here in Tennessee.

“Thanks to all of you tonight, we raised $32,690 for those in need!"

The singer joins a host of other celebrities including Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift who have raised money to help the victims of the floods.
