Jude Law, James McAvoy, Keira Knightley nominated for Oliviers

Stars nominated for the Laurence Olivier theatre awards include Jude Law, James McAvoy, Rachel Weisz and Keira Knightley.

Law, who has played Hamlet on Broadway and the West End, will go up against the rising star of James McAvoy and the likes of James Earl Jones, Mark Rylance, Ken Stott and Samuel West for the title of best actor category in the prestigious awards that take theatre's great as their namesake.

McAvoy, 30, was put forward for his performance in Three Days Of Rain at the Apollo theatre.
