Joan Rivers bad-mouths Britney Spears

Veteran comic Joan Rivers has said that she “can't wait” for Britney Spears' career to be over, according to reports.

The 75-year-old comedienne has previously had some harsh words for stars such as Lindsay Lohan and has now aimed her barbed comments at the Toxic singer.

She said: "I can't wait for her career to be over, so she can serve me coffee at a 7-Eleven [store]. She's such white trash."

Rivers also had some words of advice for aspiring entertainers trying to get into showbiz.

She said: "Anyone who goes into this business knows it's an addiction. If you're going into this business thinking you're going to have a cushy time of it, then get out of it, baby.”

She added: "I advise people to get out of it all the time. If you can do anything else, then go into that. This is madness, and unhappiness, and constant rejection."
