Jennifer Lopez still frontrunner for American Idol role

Actress Jennifer Lopez is still reportedly the frontrunner to become the new American Idol judge.

The 41-year-old singer and actress is still said to be negotiating a role on the US talent show though nothing has yet been confirmed.

A source told Hollyscoop: "Jennifer isn't being a diva. We're just trying to pan out the details."

Aerosmith star Steven Tyler is also still in talks for a role on the new judging panel after the departure of previous judges Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell.

Existing judge Kara DioGuardi claims she knows nothing about her future on the panel.
