Jennifer Lopez 'likely' to return to American Idol next season

Singer Jennifer Lopez is reportedly 'likely' to return to American Idol next season.

The star took up one of the seats on the judging panel this season along with new judge Steven Tyler and existing judge Randy Jackson.

It's claimed Lopez has done so well on the first season that bosses are keen for her to sign up for another season.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "She knows what Idol has given her, but she also knows how to work it to her advantage. She's been around the block, so to speak, before and knows how to negotiate."

The source added: "I'd estimate there's a good 80 per cent - 90 per cent likelihood of her returning as judge next season."
