Jennifer Lopez joins Jason Statham in new thriller Parker

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez and Nick Nolte have signed on to star opposite Jason Statham in the forthcoming thriller Parker.

The On The Floor hitmaker is set to play a real estate agent, while Nick will be a mentor to Jason's title character in the film, which is an adaptation of Donald Westlake's novel Flashfire.?

Clifton Collins Jr, Wendell Pierce, Patti LuPone, Michael Chiklis, and Emma Booth will also star in the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 42-year-old returned from a three-year break from films last year with The Back-Up Plan, which wasn't well received by critics.

The Taylor Hackford-directed flick is due to be released in October 2012.
