Gordon Ramsey cusses the cooking of American Idol mum

There were some very famous faces in the American Idol audience tonight. First up was Steven Tyler's daughter Liv Tyler, 33, who waved and blew kisses to her 62-year-old dad. Then celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay appeared in the front row to cuss the food served up by one of the contestant's mothers.

"I'm afraid he's going to scream at Stefano's mum for the pasta, what's your opinion," said host Ryan Seacrest to The Kitchen Nightmares Star.

"It's a good job he can sing," said Gordon, 44.

"It's fine…" he added with a frown as he held the pasta dish at arm's length and the crowd booed. "Mamma is very unhappy," said Stefano's mother.

Bradford Whitford, the 59-year-old guitarist from Aerosmith and The Temptations singer and Motown legend Otis Williams, 69, also smiled from the wings of the show.
