Gemma Arterton to star in Aliens prequel?

Gemma Arterton might be set to add another action blockbuster franchise to her CV, after revealing she could be in the running to star in an Aliens prequel.

The former Bond Girl has said that Ridley Scott is keen to discuss a role in his new project after seeing her in the thriller The Disappearance Of Alice Creed.

"He wants me to meet for Aliens: The Remake," Arterton, 26, told The Times.

Actress Sigourney Weaver first played the iconic female action warrior Ripley in the original 1979 film.
