Actors Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Taylor Lautner are said to be in talks for the leading roles in the retelling of the biblical story David and Goliath.

Top of Relativity Media's list to play the bullying giant is former WWF star Dwayne, 39.

And according to Twitchfilm.com, Twilight star Lautner, 19, has been offered the part of David in the classic tale.

The story of David and Goliath is told in the Bible and briefly in the Qur'an, and tells the story of a massive battle between the gigantic character and David, who is fighting to prove he is the true king of Israel.
