Stars such as Demi Moore and Kim Kardashian have tweeted about the death of singer Amy Winehouse.

The 27-year-old British star was recently found dead at her London home and celebrities soon took to their Twitter pages to convey their sadness at her passing.

Kardashian wrote: "I just heard the news that Amy Winehouse passed away. What a true talent. I pray she's in a better place & at peace."

Paris Hilton wrote: "So sad to hear about Amy Winehouse. What a talent, way to young to die. Addiction is such a deadly disease. She's now in a better place."

Singer Lady Gaga added: "Amy changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues."

Actress Demi Moore said: "Truly sad news about Amy Winehouse. My heart goes out to her family. May her troubled soul find peace."
