Cowell to be replaced by Simpsons barman!

American Idol has found a replacement for Simon Cowell - a barman from Springfield!

Cowell is set to leave the hit reality show this year and move on to the US version of the hit UK show X Factor.

But it seems The Simpsons think they have found the perfect new judge for the singing competition.

With his cheerful attitude, photogenic visage and insightful world view, Springfield's barman Moe Syzslak is getting his chance to sit on the panel of judges.

Moe gets his his chance on The Simpsons' season finale - cleverly titled "Judge Me Tender" - airing May 23.

In the episode, Moe gets an invitation to join Cowell, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Ryan Seacrest on the American Idol stage.
