Christina Ricci: Robert Pattinson is an awesome guy

Actress Christina Ricci has praised her co-star Robert Pattinson's professionalism, saying the Twilight star is an "awesome guy".

The former child star worked with the British actor in upcoming movie Bel Ami, and gushes about the experience in US magazine Angeleno.

"He's great; he's really an awesome guy. I had a lot of fun working with him. He's so professional,” she says.

"He comes to set with no expectations or attitude. None of those things you worry someone of his level of fame is going to have."

The 31-year-old Sleepy Hollow star appears in the new flick, which is set in 19th-century Paris, alongside Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas.

But she is also currently busy promoting her upcoming TV series, Pan Am, which debuts in the US this autumn.

Ricci plays head flight attendant Maggie in the show, which chronicles the lives of air hostesses in the 1960s on the former US airline.

Comparisons have already been made between the new show and hit TV series Mad Men, which is set in the same era.

"It's a great comparison to get; Mad Men is a great show and I'm a huge fan," Ricci says. "But that does focus more on a man's experience of that time period and this is much more about these women."

She adds: "These were really women who were taking control of their lives and living in a very feminist kind of way. They weren't the average women."
