Chris Brown fan returns his $22k watch

A Chris Brown fan returned the singer's $22,000 diamond watch after he accidentally threw it into the crowd at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The gold Rolex came loose at the beginning of the With You hitmaker's performance on Sunday, so he removed the timepiece and tried to throw it to a safe place - but it ended up in the audience.

The 22-year-old's security guard went in to the crowd after Brown's performance and an honest fan handed back the accessory.

A spokesperson for the star told US website TMZ.com: "Although Chris did not get to meet the fan, he is very appreciative of the fan's actions."
