BREAKING NEWS: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith reportedly split

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have reportedly split up – just weeks after her Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony separated from Jennifer Lopez.

According to a US entertainment magazine, the couple – who have two children together, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10 – have decided to call it quits after 13 years of marriage.

The news comes just weeks after Anthony, who plays Pinkett Smith’s love interest in the US TV drama, separated from Lopez.

Responding to the story in US magazine In Touch Weekly, a representative for the actress reportedly said: “She has nothing to say right now.”

Meanwhile, her 42-year-old husband was spotted in Miami on his own at the weekend, minus his wedding ring, according to reports.

The Hollywood power couple, who recently enjoyed a family holiday in Hawaii, were last seen in public together on the set of US daytime show The Talk.

The Men In Black star made an impromptu appearance on the show as his 39-year-old wife was being interviewed, and they shared what might have been their last public kiss.

Back in 2008, the actor, who also has an 18-year-old son from his first marriage, opened up about being married to Pinkett Smith during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in which he insisted “divorce can’t be an option”.

“What I found is divorce just can’t be an option,” he said on the show.

“It’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with LA – there are so many options,” he added. “So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.”
