American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi admits Simon Cowell will be missed

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has admitted that Simon Cowell will be missed when he leaves the hit show.

The 39-year-old is a judge on the show along with Cowell, Randy Jackson and Ellen DeGeneres, but Cowell, 50, will be leaving after the current season.

DioGuardi recently joined US radio show Johnjay and Rich and dismissed the possibility of it returning with just three judges.

She said: "It's a big void he's going to create."

The producer admitted that she will miss the music mogul when he leaves later this year.
