Afshan Azad accuses father and brother of trying to kill her

Harry Potter star Afshan Azad has claimed her father and brother threatened to kill her.
The 22-year-old actress plays the role of Padma Patil, one of Harry's school pals at Hogwarts in the hit movie series.
Afshan's dad Abdul Azad, 54, and his son Ashraf, 28, have been charged with threatening to kill her at her Longsight home.
Her brother has also been accused of assaulting her at the home in Manchester.

This isn't merely about her
This isn't merely about her relationship with that Hindu man, this is also about her right and freedom as a human. Afshan Azad plays Padma Patil within the series of motion pictures based on the books, and is apparently dating a Hindu man. Because her family is Muslim her father and brother felt this shammed the family and decided to take matters into their own hands. The truth that she has to face her own loved ones in court adds perhaps more to the emotional distress, and it would be hard for her to cope with this, I think.
