Adele overwhelmed by Beyonce compliment

Adele has revealed she "collapsed" with happiness after Beyonce told her that hearing her voice was like "listening to God".

The British star came face to face with the singer and her husband Jay-Z at last year’s Grammy Awards and said she couldn’t have been more overwhelmed.

She told Q Magazine: "She went, 'Adele' and I went, 'Uh, Beyonce!', and then Jay-Z went, 'Adele!'. I was like, 'You can't both call me Adele!' I was like, 'Can I have a picture?', and Beyoncé said, 'Can I have a picture with you?'."

And then the compliment came.

"I heard it but I was like, 'Don't let her know you've heard it'," Adele added. "I ran out on to the balcony and fell into her security's arms, and literally collapsed. Highlight of my life, ever."
