Thriller in the Chiller - Winterfest fight night

I stopped in at Thriller in the Chiller. An event with around 60 tables and 4 huge stands- I'd estimate around 800+ people. I hadnt expected such a well put together event with so many of Queenstowns residents out in force.

Hot on everyone's lips was famed international boxer Sugar Ray Leonard (known for his role on The Contender.) who sat happily watching the fights and seemed very friendly and approachable.

I watched an amazing fight between two women Vicki Zadiozny and Justine McCall - great to see some female representation out there. Ring commentators on the night were Clint Brown and  Howard "Dobo" from TV3. Op Shop's Jason Kerrison and lovely wife Cass were enjoying the fight at table 53 with a few mates. And not to be missed was Sunil from Grab a Seat who had noticably buffed up for his important job as ring boy which saw him getting his gear off and strutting the ring in bright green shorts with two very pretty ring-ettes. Grab a Seat never looked so good!
