THE BEST NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR AWARD...

I may have to rename this one, I have three nominations for the award and to be honest they are not really newcomers to the scene but have definitely been making an impact at an early stage in their working lives to make a difference in Auckland. The three of them have made a mention in the social pages and up to now have all good raps from both camps; whether that remains is still to be seen. I hope so, I know all three personally and can vouch for them, they are descent hard working guys, and ok, you guessed, the winner is a guy.

AND THE NOMINATIONS ARE....

ADAM BENNETT

Adam Bennett has, in my opinion, cornered the market on good times here in Auckland, his high-end parties at Opium and Stonyridge in conjunction with Stephen White, are stuff of legends! With a strict door policy enforced by his professional team around him, he has almost guaranteed a night at one of his parties will be an evening you will enjoy. There is a strict dress code and to be honest I have never seen anyone at his parties get to that very messy stage that no one likes to see. He has made going out a pleasure with a touch of sophistication, especially at Opium.

SEEBY WOODHOUSE

Seeby Woodhouse made it into the rich list this year and he is in his 30's, how good is that. He sold his company Orcon for millions and is now contemplating his next move, a Graeme Hart in the making, watch this man! He is a regular out on the town and has always a bevy of very beautiful girls around him, one in particular is very stunning. He has had parties at his beautiful home over the Shore and is a very generous host, a very likable guy, he is not affected by his wealth and has a very focused eye on the future.

ROBERT BRUCE

Robert Bruce seemed to just appear from no-where around the beginning of the year. It’s always good if you are just going to appear from no-where to have two beautiful tall blondes on your arm, he did just that. For the first couple of months I thought they where glued to him, or they where all joined at the hip. It worked - he has built his business, Sublimenz and is in the throes of expansion, always one to capture media attention when and where ever possible, Robert the Bruce has made an impact that is hard to ignore, has been labelled The KIng of the Promo Girls, but he is more than that.
