People I've hung out with at WINTERFEST 2010

I've met some cool cats on this trip, local queenstowners, international stars, comedians, entertainers, snow boarders and party people. Some of them you've already seen. But here are a few more randoms...

Saffron Restaurant Arrowtown

Claire Brinsley owner of The Dairy Luxury B&B and fashion label Claire Bloom

Meet Claire Brinsley, her cool son Winston and her adorable 7 week old puppy Lulu.

Not only does Claire run the beautiful B&B "The Dairy" where I'm lucky enough to be staying through Winterfest. But she also designs Claire Bloom a label that's sold in 13 stores around the country.

Parasailing over lake Wakitipu off the Queenstown Wharf

Big thanks to Paraflights!

Up up and away!

So high I thought that Kayakers were ducks!

Day 5 Winterfest

The calm before the storm - a few hours before the big Mardi Gras

What to do if you're lucky enough to be in QT over the next few days...

Tuesday June 29th

*Mardi Gras on the streets from 5.30pm

*Canadian Club Comedy Night with Dai Henwood & Ben Hurly at the American Express Ice Box

Wednesday June 30th

*Canadian Club Comedy at the American Express Icebox - Jeremy Corbett (MC), Paul Ego, Jeremy Elwood and Michele A Court

Ben Hurley rocks! And his funny mates are ok too.

So I'd heard about this guy, even seen him around badly lit hangouts in Auckland. But never really A> Known him  B> Talked to him  C> Heard him do comedy... OR   D> Had my photo taken with him.

So now Ben gets four big ticks. Nice guy, fun guy, straight up sorta guy. But mainly funny guy!

Thriller in the Chiller - Winterfest fight night

I stopped in at Thriller in the Chiller. An event with around 60 tables and 4 huge stands- I'd estimate around 800+ people. I hadnt expected such a well put together event with so many of Queenstowns residents out in force.
