Pantone TECHNICOLOUR!

We New Zealanders are well known for our tendency to steer well clear of anything that isn't well within that comfortable safety zone of black, so with that in mind I thought I'd try and share some insight into what we should be wearing.

Pantone have just released their Spring 2010 colour report, and although this means that really Spring 2010 is our Autumn, I don't think it would hurt terribly to introduce a few bits and pieces here and there from this forecast!

Colours include Turqoise

Tomato Puree

Fusion Coral

Violet

Tuscany

Aurora

Amparo Blue

Pink Champagne

Dried Herb

and Eucalyptus

Violet is a personal favourite of mine, I've already had a couple of pieces made in violet for this Spring/ Summer (When I get down to that side of the world.. but then again, it doesn't particularly feel like Autumn here!). I don't see how it would hurt to chuck a smidgen of colour from this palette into one's wardrobe this spring..

“Designers have responded to the shift in the economy in one of two ways: by using bold colors in comforting, familiar silhouettes; or by creating eye-catching one-of-a-kind pieces that are completely irresistible. The fashion constant, however, has been and always will be color. There’s nothing like a vibrant hue of Royal Purple or Golden Yellow to make us feel optimistic and hopeful for the future – just look at our first lady! She wears color impeccably. I predict that we’ll see a lot more brights in spring 2010 to inspire and uplift everyone’s mood.”

Great Read

Designers have responded to the shift in the economy in one of two ways: by using bold colors in comforting, familiar silhouettes; or by creating eye-catching one-of-a-kind pieces that are completely irresistible. Absolutely gorgeous...
