Miss Auckland 2009

Hello everyone

Welcome to my new blog.

My name is Caren Freeman, and I am 19 years of age I live in West Auckland and work Full-Time as a receptionist and Fitness instructor. I also do part-time modeling. My hobbies include Cooking, Drawing, working out at the gym, Traveling and spending quality time with my friends.

This weekend was a big one for me……………… as I was crowned Miss Auckland 2009.

I must say I was rather shocked and thrilled when I heard my name called out as the new Miss Auckland because the lineup of beautiful young woman competing along side of me were truly amazing and talented.

Many of them are studying degrees and are very career driven, most of them want to own their own business. Everyone said they didn’t envy the judges and I could see why.

In my participation of the pageant, the girls and I attended many public appearances, like the Ed Hardy My family rocks Store party, Nuffield Street Brew bar, Stampede Bar & Grill, Vodafone Women for Warriors Game, Stonyridge Waiheke Island Party, Farmers celebrating 100yrs St Lukes fashion parade.

We also did lots of fundraising for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, where we were able to fundraise over $6000!! The girls all did an amazing job I must say, especially Ria Van Dyke who won Miss Charity queen for individually fundraising $4000!!!

We attended practices with Sarah the pageant director and her crew every Sunday for eight weeks to learn the dance, our modeling routines, poise , deportment and confidence.

I am truly honored to have been given the Miss Auckland title and I am going to do my very best to fulfill all my duties and be an ambassador for Auckland.

To all those who supported me along the way thank you so very much and to all the contestants, congratulations to the prize winners. You are all beautiful young woman who I am so happy to have met and made fantastic friendships with.

Wedding Ring, or I should
